Could your diet be the cause of the following symptoms?
- Migraine Headaches
- Weight Gain
- Stomach Disorders
- Fatigue
- Hyperactivity/ADD
- Arthritis/Inflammation
- Asthma
- Skin Disorders (i.e. Acne, Eczema)
- Recurring ear infections in children
- Depression
- And much more…
The USDA estimates that over 34
million people in the US have food sensitivities. Most don't even know
it. Many common health problems such as migraines, joint pain, fatigue,
gastrointestinal disorders, eczema, ADD, asthma, recurring infections
and even obesity have been linked to delayed food sensitivity and chronic
activation of the immune system.
If you suffer from any of these symptoms, food sensitivity testing may offer the missing piece of your health puzzle. It has been a key tool for my own healing from rheumatoid arthritis, and I'm thrilled to be able to offer it to my clients.
The ALCAT Test is a functional blood test that provides an accurate and
objective way to figure out which foods, herbs, additives, and
chemicals to eliminate or reduce for optimal health. It is more
accurate than standard IgG (allergy) tests, which measure just a single
immune pathway. The ALCAT Test measures the reaction of blood cells to specific foods, mimicking what actually happens when those foods are consumed.
The results will enable you to make educated decisions
about what to remove and minimize in your diet. Included in the cost of the test is a 45-min consultation in which I will guide you
through the results to set up an effective rotation meal plan.
The good news
is that elimination of reactive foods does not have to be forever! Once
your digestive system has had a chance to recover (typically a matter of
months) most people are able to gradually reintroduce the foods they
were previously sensitive to.
A variety of panels are available that test up to 200 foods, 100 functional and medicinal herbs, molds, and environmental chemicals. Test pricing depends on what panel(s) you test for. Based on your health concerns and goals, I will help you determine which tests will be most beneficial for you.
Contact me to arrange to get tested! The blood test is available through a mobile blood draw service for your convenience.
Why Is Standard Allergy Testing Not Enough?
Standard allergy tests (IgG) are performed on the skin and only measure
immediate reactions such as the onset of a rash or anaphylactic shock
directly after consuming a specific food like peanuts or shellfish.
These types of allergies are actually rare, occurring in only 3% of
the population. They are also very well defined, making the causes
relatively simple to identify.
In contrast, delayed reactions causing the symptoms listed above are far more common. They occur in your digestive tract and can take hours or even days to
present themselves. Standard allergy tests are simply not equipped to
consider these.
